Having no more whiskers on my kitten is one of my favourite things

This month’s Blog Hop Topic is about Favourite Things.

Specifically, favourite Pole-related things.

I figured everyone would already cover X-poles, grip aids, stripper heels, Bodybinds, leg warmers, DVD’s, booty shorts, foam rollers, sports bras, and all the other usual pole items… so I thought I’d just go ahead and talk about how much I love having a relatively hairless punani instead.

If you already read my post about my nether region laser-beaming experiences, you’ll also know that I’m willing to suffer in my quest for smooth hairless skin.

The good news is that it hurt significantly less after that first, cold-shake inducing session. So much so that back in October I decided to bite the bullet and sign up for a whole package of Brazilian IPL sessions.

So to update on how that’s going, I’m now not even halfway through and already mighty pleased with the results.

How smooth are we talking? Well my regrowth rate is only about 25% of what it originally was. And even though the current 25% has an annoying way of not growing back *ahem* symmetrically, no one except my husband sees it and since it doesn’t even bother him, it sure doesn’t bother me.

And now I can confidently ask my pole pals to spot me as I do handstand centre splits without worrying if they’re going to get traumatized if they spot any strays that my razor might have missed. Cos now any still-surviving strays have been reduced to near-invisible whispers of their former selves.*cue maniacal laughter*

So yes. IPL. Best beauty investment I ever made! And very high on my list of good pole investments too!

Almost makes me want to break into song like Maria up there…

Hilariously written! This was on my list this month too – as a want, but I’m scared of the pain! So glad you linked back to the other one, too. The comments there were also helpful. If I do go for it I’ll see if I can get in on any numbing cream action!

Thank you so much for making me giggle. This blog was a great way to start my day.
