“Craving that Bobbi style”

I spotted a forum thread on Studio Veena titled just that, a few days ago.

In case you didn’t already know, Studio Veena is a pole dance website that offers online pole dancing lessons and has a forum, as well as sections where you can post videos and photos, and even post blog entries there. It’s run by Veena and her husband, and it’s Β like a social network for pole dancers.

Personally I think it’s the best online pole community, and I love to stop in and look around every once in a while.

Most of the members seem to be from the U.S, Canada, and Europe, though I’m sure there are loads of Asian / local pole dancers who are there silently too. So really, there are members from all over the world.

Anyway, someone started this forum thread by asking:

“It seems to me lately that all my favorite pole dancers studied at Bobbi’s pole studio… they all have this fluid quality to their movement, so sexy and feminine! It’s amazing. Whenever I find myself admiring a pole dancer, I find out she was trained at Bobbi’s shortly after.

It’s like the moves and tricks are the same moves and tricks, but when they are performed by the Bobbi girls, they turn into art. Sexy art.

So this is my question to all the Bobbi girls out there – how did you train? What do they teach you? Did you do any exercises that you can share with us? Did they put mysterious pink powder in your water to make you move like that, and if so – how can I lay my hands on some?! How can I become a Bobbi girl, although I’m stuck here in the other side of the world?”

Firstly, LOL about the mysterious pink powder!!

How awesome would that be, right? Just mix some into your drink and *PING!* instant Bobbi-fi-cation! Complete with the sudden ability to split in all directions fearlessly in tiny gold bikini bottoms and 7″ boots.

Sigh, we can all wish.

A few other members from other parts of the world also expressed their Bobbi’s-admiration, and it turns out there’s a lot of fans who’d love to train at a Bobbi’s studio if they could.

My favourite comment was:

“and there is the Australian school of pole dancing that is more focused at actually dancing and is more sexy and fun πŸ™‚

To myself I call them the Australian gang πŸ˜‰ “

Well I just thank my lucky stars I get to train under the sexy ‘Australian gang’ even though I don’t live in Australia!

Anyway, a couple of Bobbi’s girls did reply to try and explain what goes on behind those pink curtains. One of them was thoughtful enough to even post The Bobbi Interview part 1: All About The Pole! there. What a sweetheart!

I replied as well, to thank her and also throw in my 2 cents’ worth, heheh.

So if you’re a Bobbi’s girl too, I’m sure the rest of the members would love to hear from you as well.

You can join the conversation here. Oh, and do add me as a friend there while you’re at it! πŸ™‚

Chwenny, you don’t know how lucky you are that you’re a Bobbi girl. I love the abilities that come with that magical pink powder! If only it really existed! I admit, I’m jealous. The girls that come from Bobbi’s studios all seem to be graceful, flexible, and fearlessly sexy. I like to think I’d fit right in, but I’d probably look like an awkward stompy cow next to them (and that’s not a comment on my weight – but it seems a bit like comparing swans to cows sometimes). Maybe one day. πŸ™‚ Also understand that I’ve just been sick for 4 days and I’m going a bit stir crazy and missing my pole because I hadn’t touched it for almost a week before I got sick. I’m eyeing it longingly today, but it’s still too soon. This is the first good day I’ve had – I can push myself. But enough about me. Count yourself lucky to be a Bobbi girl, Chwenny!
