I know the argument about wearing my pole bruises with pride but I’m not very proud that these are from clumsiness rather than perseverance.
Once I start getting really tired during practice, my movements get clumsier and lazier and without the discipline of controlled movement, I start crashing instead of landing.
Perhaps I should have spaced my lessons out. I foolishly signed up for Sunday’s choreo class and Monday’s Intermediate 1 class without realizing how tough the choreo class was going to be and my legs are so paying for it. My thigh muscles burn from approximately 20 minutes into Sunday’s class all the way to Wednesday and the damn bruises last even longer! Thank goodness for leggings.
